Waterloo Arts is a creative hub in Cleveland’s Collinwood neighborhood, known for connecting artists with the community through exhibitions, programs, and their flagship Waterloo Arts Festival. But behind the scenes, things were challenging. Donor and event information lived in scattered spreadsheets, disconnected platforms, and even staff members’ heads. Festival applications came through email, DMs, and phone calls, and each year the team felt like it was starting from scratch—spending more time tracking down details than organizing the event. That’s when they called Giving Insight.

Motogo teaches kids how to solve problems with their hands—and they needed help solving some internal ones, too. Their gift entry and acknowledgment processes were inconsistent, their reports were hard to trust, and their data didn’t reflect the growth they knew was possible. Their signature event, Bringin’ Back Shop Class, was a success on the surface but left the team scrambling behind the scenes. And with no clear annual giving process, opportunities were being left on the table. Giving Insight was there to help.

Birthing Beautiful Communities (BBC) is a powerful force for maternal and infant health equity, serving Black mothers and families across Northeast Ohio. But behind their growing impact, they were struggling with donor data that was hard to access, inconsistent, and incomplete. Reporting was unreliable, coding lacked structure, and a gap in fundraising staffing threatened continuity. BBC needed a system that reflected their mission—and a process that would survive transitions. A call to Giving Insight changed everything.
